Doctrinal Beliefs

Things We Believe

	We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts. We believe that God has preserved His Word through the centuries and that the translations we use are accurate representations of the original documents, and are therefore trustworthy and authoritative.
	We believe that the world was created by God out of nothing, and that the account in Genesis 1 is an accurate account of creation.
	We believe that man, though created in God's image, fell out of favor with God due to sin, and that this sin nature is passed on from generation to generation to all men and women.
	We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully man and fully God. We believe that he was born of a virgin, died a substitutionary death on the cross, and rose bodily from the dead. We believe that he is presently at the right hand of God, and that he will someday return to earth to set up a kingdom in fulfillment of God's promises to Israel.
	We believe that without faith in what Jesus did, no one can be forgiven. We believe that salvation is a one-time gift of God that can never be lost. We believe that those who place their faith in Christ are given the gift of the Holy Spirit, who indwells and provides power to live a life pleasing to God.
	We believe that the Local Church is God's primary means to reach and teach people, and that it is a company of believing people, baptized in identification with Christ, led by qualified men, focused on the mission of carrying out God's purposes in the world.
	We believe that the world will someday come to an end, climaxed by the return of Jesus Christ. We believe that those who have placed their faith in Christ will enjoy life with God forever, and that those who have not placed their faith in Christ will be eternally lost.
